CONTEC CO., LTD. (Tokyo Stock Exchange Code: 6639) today introduced our newest variation of CPU unit "the PPC series", "CONTECWinCPU unit the PPC-100 series". The PPC series provides Windows-based functionality of computer as Mitsubishi's general-purpose sequencer the MELSEC-Q series unit. This new series uses Intel's Atom™ processor N450, and its processing capabilities are improved dramatically.

The new product “The CONTECWinCPU unit The PPC-100 series” is a Windows-based embedded computer that is connectable to base unit of Mitsubishi sequence the MELSEC-Q series as a CPU unit. This product is addable functionality of computer to the MELSEC-Q sequencer system on a footprint for only 2 slots (base unit). So, it can be used at limited space and you can downsize equipment.

This PPC-100 series is equipped with Intel's Atom processor N450. And it realizes not only tremendous increase in processing power but low power consumption than the old model "the PPC-852 series". The PPC-100 series has high environmental durability such as operating at 0 to 55°C.

This new series can set up multi CPU system with other CPU unit such as sequencer CPU. For this reason, this series can line up seamlessly with sequence control, motion control and information processing by computer, and distributes those functions. It makes more excellent progress of data transport throughput than you connect CPU system with normal computer that is placed into another position.
In addition, this series features variety of interfaces such as 5x USB ports on the front and the bottom, so you can connect and expand it with peripheral devices easily. The PPC-100 series features security guard such as double write protects function that protects SSD from computer viruses and cruft.

The DNA-AI-224 and DNR-AI-224 are high speed, four channel strain gage input boards for UEI's data acquisition and control Cubes and RACKtangle™ Chassis respectively. Suitable for use in a wide variety of applications, these boards provide an ideal combination of high speed, accuracy and connection flexibility. The analog inputs offer 18-bit resolution at sample rates up to 100 kilosamples per second. Each channel has an A/D converter, and all four channels are sampled simultaneously. The combination of the 18-bit resolution with the board's automatic offset zeroing and automatic gain calibration ensures extremely accurate measurements. Each channel also includes an anti-aliasing filter that automatically is configured to match the sample rate.

New BOX COMPUTER the BX956 series is a power-saving industrial PC for embedded. This product features a dust-proof construction (slitless), and small body that allows it to be installed in narrow gaps. This series supports Windows Embedded Standard, the OS for embedded equipment, and Windows Embedded Standard is designed for use in embedded systems, so you can use various Windows applications on the BX956 series.
The BX956 series is built on high-performance Dual Core CPU (Intel® Atom™ processor D510) in the fanless and slitless body that features 35 mm thickness and A5-sized footprint.
The most distinctive feature of this series is that its processing ability is more greatly improved than BOX COMPUTER the BX955 series that has same size chassis. Because this new series is based on Hyper-threading-compliant Dual Core CPU that is called Intel® Atom™ processor D510. So, it is possible for simultaneous processing of four threads (CPU usage) to improve simultaneous of multi-processes. This feature offer several benefits. For example, parallel processing application, such as communication processing with other computers, actuator control, graphical screen display and real-time processing, and consolidating some computers into only one BX956. Its other features are mini chassis and variety of standard interfaces. They include 2x 1000BASE-T LAN ports, 4x USB2.0 ports, 2x RS-232C serial ports, 2x CF card slots and audio.
