CONTEC Releases Two New Multi-pass Resistant 11n Wireless LAN Modules for Embedded Applications

Stable Transmissions Even in Multi-pass Environments

CONTEC CO., LTD. (Tokyo Stock Exchange Code: 6639) is adding two new IEEE802.11n compliant products (board type FXE1000 and plastic case type FXS1000) to its FLEXLAN® Embedded-Wireless Series. The new products, available as small modules suitable for embedding, offer high-speed, multi-pass interference resistant transmission of up to 300Mbps.

With its FLEXLAN® Embedded-Wireless Series, CONTEC provides a line of small, embeddable modules for converting wired LAN to wireless LAN. Since its introduction, the FLEXLAN® Embedded-Wireless Series has earned a reputation for easily converting existing wired LAN equipment for use in wireless LAN applications. However, in places such as factories and warehouses with metal walls, there have been some cases in which wireless LAN was previously unusable due to multi-pass interference with signals produced by traditional IEEE802.11a/b/g modules. CONTEC's two new wireless LAN modules are compatible with IEE802.11n, the latest spec. The new IEEE802.11n compatible station transmits and sends radio waves using multiple antennas and actively synthesizing the reflected waves for stable wireless connections even in environments where multi-pass interference is unavoidable.
